Virtues of Ramadan and Fasting in Ramadan

Assalam O Alaikum ! ,
As we all know that the blessed month of Ramadan is just about to begin after some days and the blessings of Allah S.W.T will be showering us then and we will be able to collect huge rewards for little deeds.Ramadan in 2013 will IN SHA ALLAH starts from 09 or 10 of JULY.Ramadan has certain importance in terms of fasting , praying and doing good deeds.There are many ahadith telling us about virtues of Ramadan and I've shared some of them.Have a look ! and don't forget to share with your networks and earn rewards.


Virtues of Ramadan and Virtues of Worshipping in Ramadan in the light of Ahadith


Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (S.A.W) said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained."[Bukhari]

Umm Ma'qil narrated that: The Prophet said: "Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajj." (Sahih) [Jami' at-Tirmidhi]

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Messenger (S.A.W) saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." [al-Bukhari]

Abu Sa'id al Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Every servant of Allah who observes fast for a day in the way of Allah, Allah would remove, because of this day, his face farther from the Fire (of Hell) to the extent of seventy years' distance.[Muslim]

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said, "The five (daily) Salat (prayers), and from one Jumu'ah prayer to the (next) Jumu'ah prayer, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals); provided the major sins are not committed". [Muslim]
